This is a true barn find. My friend of 34 years owned this matching numbers 1971 Commando 750 for about 30 years. It is a mostly original piece with what I also think is original paint.  It was last licensed in about 1993. It was ridden home with a fatal oil leak and put in the barn where it remained until the summer of 2011. Circumstances for my friend were that the Norton needed to move to a new home. After thinking about it for some time, I decided to bring it home, so it kind of remains in the family. The bike is now once again running but still needs some work to be reliable and safe.

I am still trying to decide whether to take it all the way for a complete restoration or make it safe to ride and leave all the original paint and patina that it has gathered over the years. I kind of like it the way it is. It has much character and wears its scars proudly.

It is absolutely a work in progress, but is a major improvement from when I brought it home.
Thank you for your time.
